The King of Weapons

The chinese spear, sometimes called a qiang(槍), is known as the King of Weapons because of its prowess as a fighting weapon. It is relatively easier to manufacture than swords and so was a common military weapon, as well as the weapon of choice for farmers and peasants. It can be made from various wood types such as ash or hickory and sometimes waxwood. the length varied a lot more in the olden days, but generally the best length is a little taller than you are yourself.
